Football season is ending, seniors honored

2007-2008 High School Seniors at Union County High School celebrate and were recognized as members of the Panthers Football Team, Panthers Marching Band and Color Gurard, Football Cheerleaders

Panther Marching Band and Color Guard

Deana Brown - Deana is the daughter of Tony and Faye Brown. Deana has been in the Color Guard for three years; Co- Captain last year and Captain this year. She has been active in dance, chorus, and church. Future plans include college and travel.

Allison Chester - Allison is the daughter of Dewey and Janice Allen. Allison has been in the band for four years. She plans to join the U.S. Navy.

Dakota Floyd - Dakota is the son of Charles Floyd and has been in the high school band for four years and was in the Middle School band for three years. Dakota participated in cross country and basketball. Dakota's future plans include college.

Ashley Gibson - Ashley is the daughter of Paul and Brenda Gibson. Ashley has been in the Color Guard for three years. Her future plans includes pursuing her interests in photography and having a family someday.

Angela Harkins - Angela is the daughter of Richard and Mildred Harkins. Angela has been in the marching and concert band for four years. She is active in several clubs and recreational sports. Travel, college and starting her own business are all part of Angela's plans for the future.

Megan Mullins - Megan is the daughter of Lois Taylor and David Mullins, Jr. She has been in the band for seven years. Megan enjoys painting, dancing and time with friends. Future plans include attending college, travel and a family.

Jaime Myers - Jaime is the daughter of Michelle Myers and Brian Camp. Jaime has been in the Color Guard for four years. Interests include various sports and music. Jaime is a U.S. Navy Recruit and plans to continue a Navy Aviation career, college and a family.

Andrew Parks - Andrew is the son of Norman and Tina Parks. He has been in the band for seven years. Andrew enjoys MX racing and going to the track to ride with friends. College and a family are in his future plans.

Nate Saunders - Nate is the son of Tim and Kathy Saunders. Nate has been in the band for four years. His future plans are to attend college and someday own his own business.

Senior Cheerleader

Amber Lynn - Amber is the daughter of Tim and Hope Greer. She has a total of seven years cheerleading, two of those include competition cheering. Amber plans to attend college, pursue a career in teaching and to have a family.

Senior Football Players

Joshua Caleb Adkinson - Josh is the son of Vicki Adkinson. He has played varsity football for four years. Olympic weight lifting, Tae Kwon Do and horseback riding are other interests. Josh plans to go to college, then law school and have a family.

Colt Richard Dyer - Colt is the son of Troy and Becky Dyer. Colt has played football for nine years, four of them in high school. Other interests are Competition weight lifting, hunting and fishing. He plans to attend college, major in biology and earn a doctorate in physical therapy.

Robert Heider - Robert is the son of Kim Walker and the late Ron Heider. Robert has been playing high school football for four years. He participates in the Olympic weightlifting team. He plans to go to college and get a degree in physics or chemistry - hoping to become a scientist.

Chris Tanner - Chris is the son of Kim Hood and Ricky Tanner. In addition to playing football for four years, Chris enjoys golf, fishing, and hunting. Chris plans to go on to college after graduating.

Joshua Witting - Josh is the son of Dean and Donna Witting. Josh has played football for four years. He plans to attend college and pursue a career in some field of law enforcement.

Joshua Wright - Josh is the son of Michael and Christy Thomas. He has played football for two years. Josh plans on going to college and earning a degree in business.

Timothy Sean Byers - Sean is the son of Charlie and Cindi Byers. He enjoys football and music. Sean plans to attend Roosevelt Warm Springs and be co-enrolled at West Georgia College.

Andrew O'Brian - Andrew is the son of Steven and Susan Cross. Andrew would like to thank Coach Byers for helping him through high school. Andrew plans to attend Fire Academy.
