Upward Sports at House of Prayer

Pastor Jerry Helton and Upward Sports Director Lee Baenninger of House of Prayer Interdenominational Church of Blairsville would like to extend an invitation to children grades K - 6 to join the Upward Indoor Soccer League which will begin January 2008.

Evaluations will be held at the House of Prayer Family Life Center between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on December 3, 4 & 6 to determine each child's individual skill levels. Practices will begin the week of January 7 and games will be held January 26. At Upward, all children have equal play time and are matched against children of similar ability.

New to Upward Sports at House of Prayer is the ability to register on-line at www.houseofprayerblairsville.com."We are excited to bring this convenient and easy registration process to our Upward League. Payment can be made directly through the secure web site or at Evaluations," said Baenninger. "Persons may also contact the church office at (706) 745-5925 to register."

"We have witnessed God's hand in the lives of countless children and parents alike since adopting the Upward Sports program in September 2006. In addition to the character and esteem that have been instilled in the children during each league season, parents and "fans" have had the opportunity to hear stories from various individuals of how God has changed their

lives and the miracles He has performed on their behalf. I have been personally

blessed and

challenged by the hearts of those who have shared and I must admit it has become a favorite part of my Saturday," said Pastor Helton.

Children are a significant focus of ministry at House of Prayer. Through various programs such as Upward Sports, Wednesday night KidStuf®, Canal Lake Bible Camp, Sunday School and Children's Church, First Look, and Vacation Bible School, children have abundant opportunity for growth and nurturing in God's Word. The purpose is to equip and train children while they are young to provide a foundation of faith to sustain them throughout their lifetime.

"I would like to personally extend an invitation to you if you do not have a church home to join our services at House of Prayer held Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00, Sunday evenings at 6:00, and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. God has a purpose for your life and is eager to use your talents and abilities to accomplish His will," concluded Helton. www.houseofprayerblairsville.com
