John Wedford Parham

Mr. John Wedford Parham, 50, of Elm Rd., Athens, Ga., formerly of Blairsville, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at his home.

Mr. Parham was born Oct. 21, 1957 in Athens, the son of the late John Harold Parham and the late Charline Plott Parham. John loved hunting, fishing, camping, working in his garden and just being outdoors. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gilda Parham Andrews in 1992. Mr. Parham was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving Mr.Parham are sons and daughter-in-law, Josh and Jessica Bishop, Charles Bishop and Matthew Bishop, all of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Ira Kyttle of Blairsville; grandchildren, Cassie and Roman

Bishop, Chase, Mason and Matthew Dowdy Jr.; nephews, Robert Parham, John Michael Andrews and Conway Casper; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Hubert Legg officiating. Special music was presented by Ken and Elaine Young. Pallbearers were Brandon and Benjamin Silmon, Roger and Robert Parham, John Andrews and Conway Casper. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
