Parks installed as Auxiliary President

The Union General Hospital concluded their fiscal year with an Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet held in their honor on Friday, October 26, 2007 in the Activity Room of Union County Nursing Home. The Hospital Authority hosts this annual event as token of appreciation to the Auxilians for their continued hard work and dedication to both Union General Hospital and Union County Nursing Home. Doug Davenport, Administrator, Union County Nursing Home, served as Master of Ceremonies. Linda Farrell, Director of Medical Records at Union General Hospital awarded the hours pins earned by Auxilians. Installation of new officers for the coming year was held. They are: President: Claudia Parks, 1st Vice President: Martha Horne, 2nd Vice President: Rita Miller, Recording Secretary: Ellie Cowgill, Corresponding Secretary: Kathleen McGuire, Treasurer: Margie Allendorf, Parliamentarian: Linda Wingo, and Membership Chair: Suzanne Thomas. Newly installed North District Directors Linda Wingo and Betty Shank were in attendance.

Outgoing President Betty Shank reported there are 88 members in the Auxiliary, who worked a combined 21,563 hours this past year at the Hospital and Nursing Home, bringing the total number of hours worked since the Auxiliary's inception in 1974 to 382,710. The Auxiliary added over 20 new members in the 2006-2007 year.

The Auxiliary was pleased to elect the following retired members as Honorary members: Jo Bearse, Melzie Devereux, Inez Dolenbach and Rosa Lee Wilson.
