Banks offer $6,000 reward

Agroup of Northeast Georgia banks has come together to offer a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a person who has in the last 18 months been involved in four branch bank robberies in the Rabun and Towns County communities.

The Bank of Hiawassee, Mountain Heritage Bank, Regions Bank, Rabun County Bank, Stephens Federal Bank, and United Community Bank have together offered a reward of $6,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the party or parties involved in the robberies. Any person with information about any suspect or suspects should call either the Hiawassee Police Department at 76-896-2203, or the GBI Tip Line at 1-888-233-5680.
