Jed Andrew Panter

Mr. Jed Andrew Panter, 48, of Lunsford Way, Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Blue Ridge, Ga., died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at his home.

Mr. Panter was born Jan. 2, 1959 in Polk County, Tenn., the son of Jack Edward Panter and Judy Mae Evans Panter. He was a lifelong resident of Fannin and Union counties. Jed enjoyed sitting on his front porch in the morning and drinking his coffee. Most of all,he love his grandchildren and spending time with them. He also loved farming and taking care of his animals. Mr. Panter was a member of Jones Creek Church of God and had also attended Friendship Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Panter is his wife, Carolyn Panter of Murphy; father and mother, Jack and Judy Panter of Blue Ridge; sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin Lee Panter of Blue Ridge, Wesley and Tabitha

Panter of Blairsville; brother, Joe Panter of Blue Ridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Jim Hill, Jamie and Stephen Haymore, all of Blue Ridge, Janet and James Lunsford of Blairsville, Jenny and Jack Kendrix of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, McKinsey and Landon Panter; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Sugar Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Special music was presented by the Benny Shook Family. Pallbearers were Sam Guy, Jim Hill, Jake Hill, Karry Marlor, Wayne Wright and Eugene Brown. Interment followed in the Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
