Charles Colby Allen

Mr. Charles Colby Allen, 71, of Jones Rd., Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Ellijay, Ga., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 in the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following

brief illness. Mr. Allen was born Aug. 21, 1936 in New Bedford, Mass., the son of the late James Allen and late Doris Colby Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps of the Korean War, which he was very proud of. He was a loving husband. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Moon. Mr. Allen attended Fairview Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Allen is his loving wife, Deborah Card Allen of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Roxie Allen of Ellijay;

daughters and son-in-law, Dawn Allen of Springfield, Ariz., Cheryl Borden of Mass., Nadine and

Wayne Arruda and Karen Jansen, all of Fall River, Mass.; brothers and sisters in-law, Bill and Rita Jansen of Ariz., Richard and Jenny Jansen of Bridgeport, Conn.; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service

will be held at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the FairView Baptist Church in Mr. Allen's memory.
