Holiday House to Benefit Georgia Mountain Hospice

After a very successful first year effort, Ed and Ellen Grant of Overland Trails Heritage Log Homes will again open their model home this Holiday season in support of Georgia Mountain Hospice, Inc. Ellen says that this year's theme will be "Helping Others at Their Greatest Time of Need", and she urges everyone who so graciously supported this fine cause last year to participate again.

Georgia Mountains Hospice, Inc., is dedicated to the care of terminally ill patients and serves several counties in North Georgia, including Cherokee, Pickens, Gilmer, Fannin, Union, Dawson, Forsyth, Murray, Whitfield, Gordon and Bartow. Many family members in our area have been touched by their wonderful care at the most crucial time of need and the goal of fundraisers such as the Holiday Hospice House is to one day help them build a facility for those who need a place to stay during their final days.

Many professional decorators and local businesses will be transforming the Overland Trails Heritage Log Home Model from top to bottom in Holiday splendor for the enjoyment of the public and will open November 17 through January 5. Admittance to the Holiday House is free, but donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated. The Model is located just north of Ellijay, off Hwy. 515, and viewing hours will be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm on Sunday.
