Road blocks for safer Halloween
The Downtown Development Authority and The Union County Historical Society are once again sponsoring this old fashioned community event that features a costume contest, storytelling, children's games and activities and plenty of fun. Over 70 businesses, individuals and civic groups will be giving out candy throughout the perimeter of the square to ensure no child goes home empty handed. Area restaurants will be offering "Halloween Dinner Specials" and the square will be closed to traffic so families can plan on spending a fun filled and safe night in the downtown area. For more information about participating in the Hometown Halloween event please contact: Chris or Colleen Urbaniuk at the Seasons Inn Motel on the Square at 706-835-4236 or 706-745-1631 email: seasonsinn@windstream.net |
