Ted Cooley headlines at Brasstown Valley Resort

Ted Cooley, a talented musician and storyteller, will be featured on Saturday nights at the Brasstown Valley Resort, starting at 7:00 p.m. His debut performance, tailored to visitors who want to experience real "mountain music," he will be preforming in the Fireside Lounge

Regionally known, Ted Cooley is a singer, storyteller and musician. Proficient with many instruments including guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, harmonica and mountain dulcimer, he brings to audiences old-time Appalachian fiddle tunes, folk ballads and bluegrass music. Also a storyteller, Ted tells Southern Appalachian mountain stories and Jack tales. An alltime favorite with children and families, Ted's stories are lively and fun and frequently accompanied by music and song. Born and raised in the southern Appalachian mountains, Ted has performed for all ages at area restaurants, the John C. Campbell Folk School, at festivals and venues across the country and internationally.

Ted's singing and guitar playing will be included on a forth-coming CD project produced by the John C. Campbell Folk School featuring local music and artists. He is also a music instructor in the after-school JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) Program at Martin's Creek Elementary.
