Enotah Garden Club gardens of the Month

Members of the Enotah Garden Club of Young Harris continue, despite this year's drought, to make plans for the planting next year at City Hall, the barrel's along Main St & a barrel to be placed at the Post Office.

Recently our President Janice Sehaltz along with Marsha Elliot & Betty Walther went to the garden in Dyer Cove Rd of Ernest Seckinger. Ernest & his late wife Jessie were daylily enthusiasts & had hundreds of daylily varieties in their beautiful garden. Our ladies were there to dig up some of those daylilies which Ernest offered our club in memory of Jessie, who was one of our members.

Betty Walther & her team of six or so garden club members will plant these gorgeous, drought resistant perennials outside Young Harris City Hall Watch for their colorful blooms next year. 08.

Thank you Ernest for your lasting gift to our community, they will delight us for many years to come. Thanks also to these Enotah Garden Club members & all Young Harris Gardeners for 'Keeping Young Harris Beautiful.'
