Jones' other accomplishments include winning the 2007 Class AA Boys 1,600 Meter State Championship, first place in the inaugural Young Harris College Invitational, winning 2006 Region 8AA Title, and finishing 11th in state.

old school record of 17:01 in

Albany, Ga. at a State Qualifier meet in which he won and the entire team made state.
