The Home Depot Gives to Community Council

The Home Depot of Blairsville has made a $1,000 gift of materials to the Community Council of the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center. John Wischmeyer, Manager of the Blairsville store, made the announcement. "On behalf of The Home Depot, my associates and I are pleased to continue our support of the work of the Community Council at the GMRE Center. The company believes in giving back to the region through important causes. The Council's work certainly qualifies. The Council's programs and activities are serving a significant number of students and adults in our region. We applaud their service to many of our customers", said Wischmeyer.

"We appreciate the generous suuport of John and his associates at The Home Depot. Their gift of lumber and other supplies was of great help to the Preservation Committee's project to construct a large arbor and additional boardwalks throughout the ethnobotanical garden," said Jennifer Cordier, Preservation Committee Chair.
