Kennel Kruise Ride for the Animals

Kennel Kruise organizer, Andrew Domino and his Japanese Chin, Walker.
Former Atlanta Humane Society volunteers, Andrew and Carol Domino, have relocated to Blairsville and transferred their talents to the Humane Society's Mountain Shelter (HSMS). They've combined their love of motorcycles and animals with their experiences with the Atlanta Humane's annual "Leader of the Pack" motorcycle pledge run and have organized an exciting ride for cyclists through the north Georgia mountains.

Copperhead Lodge will sponsor and host "Kennel Kruise 2007" on Saturday, October 20, with check-in and registration beginning at 9:00 a.m.; pledge forms and pre-registration may be found at the Lodge or on the website. Beginning at the Lodge, the ride winds through the scenic tri-state area just as leaf color is at its peak.

Food, fun, beautiful scenery, raffles, prizes, music and collectible Harley- Davidson T-shirts from Russia, Venezuela, Aruba, Mexico, Beijing, China and Tokyo, Japan are all in store for riders who will be raising pledge funds to purchaser a transportation vehicle for the HSMS.

Janice Boling has designed and donated the Kennelkruise.com website which comprehensively covers all the detail for Kennel Kruise 2007. In addition, contact Andrew Domino at 706-745- 5217, Andrew@kennelkruise. com or the CopperHead Lodge at 706-745- 8000.

Kennel Kruise joins the "Waggin' Wheels" campaign which debuts this month in the October BRMEMC billing. The HSMS's ten year old van is now too unsafe and unreliable to transport animals and staff to weekly outside adoptions, vets, other no-kill shelters and spay/neuter facilities. To make a tax deductible donation, contact, Helen at 706-781-3843.

As always, thanks go to the citizens of Towns and Union Counties for their continued support of the Humane Society's Mountain Shelter.
