James Meyer Huffstutter
Mr. James Meyer Huffstutter, 72, of Colonsay Trace, Blairsville, Ga., died Monday Sept.24,2007 at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Huffstutter was born Nov. 18, 1934 in Sharon, Pa., the son of the late John Huffstutter and the late Katharine Meyer Huffstutter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1980 with over 22 years of service and also retired from the Manatee County, Fla., Sheriffs Department as a Deputy in 2001 with over ten years of service. He was Past Master of Bradenton Masonic Lodge, a member of High Country Harmonizers and also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Huffstutter in 2000. Mr. Huffstutter was a member of St. Clare's Church.
Surviving Mr. Huffstutter is his loving wife, Carolyn
Watson Huffstutter of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, John and JoAnne
Huffstutter of Spokane, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Pete Almazan
of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters and brother-in-law, Margaret and Russell Brown of
Australia, Betty Larson
of Erie, Pa.; grandchildren, Bryce and Elise Almazan; several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services were held Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 from St. Clare's Church with Rev. Susan Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Mr. Huffstutter's memory.
