Betty June Brown Hubbard

Mrs. Betty June Brown Hubbard, 75, of Berry Rd. Blairsville, Ga., died Tuesday Sept. 25, 2007 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hubbard was born Dec. 20, 1931 in Hendersonville, Ga., the daughter of the late Robert and Flowice Phillips Burnette. She graduated from Byron High School and moved to Blairsville in 1970. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She and her husband owned and operated Brown's Auction for over 30 years. She loved people and always had a cheerful attitude. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hubbard in 2005 and her first husband, Terrell Brown in 1992; also one sister, Willie Belle Byrd; brothers, Wilton, Jerry, Billy and Robert Burnette Jr. Mrs. Hubbard was a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Hubbard are sons and daughter-in-law, Brunson Brown of Blairsville, Buck and Melissa Brown of Blairsville; daughters and son-in-law, Beth and Paige Miller of Ellijay, Linda Carter of Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Leila Burnette Asbell of Macon, Patsy and Morris McDaniel of Warner Robins, Ga.; grandchildren, Christie Johnson and Kylie Carter; great grandchild, Eliza Johnson; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the Corner Stone Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Special music was presented by Tony and Lacie Ford. Interment followed in the Union Memory Gardens Cemetery.
