Jerome Donald Beitzinger

Mr. Jerome Donald Beitzinger, 84, of Cane Hollow Farm Rd., Blairsville, Ga., died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2007 in Baldwin County, Ga., following an extended illness.

Mr. Beitzinger was born March 29, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of the late Alois Beitzinger and the late Katheryne Nagal Beitzinger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army of WWII and was present at the bombing of Pearl Harbor. During his service he received several Medals and Commendations. He had lived in Union County since 1997, moving here from Seminole, Fla., where he lived for over fifteen years and was originally from Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Christine Boadis Beitzinger and a brother, Alois Beitzinger. Mr. Beitzinger was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Surviving Mr. Beitzinger are his two closest friends, Gloria and Jim Hooper of Blairsville and Seminole, Fla., a host of friends in Seminole, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Entombment will be held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in Milwaukee, Wis., where he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Mary. In lieu of flowers if you wish, you may make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation in Mr. Beitzinger's memory.
