Ms. Sheila Humphrey with Smithgall Woods Regional Education Center, came to Towns County Schools on Thursday, September 20th to give the third grade classes a presentation.

The lesson was on Animal Adaptations. Ms. Humphrey gave the children a fun lesson about adaptations, behaviors, predator avoidance and feeding habits of animals native to our area. The third grade classes that listened to the program were Mrs. Dayton, Mrs. Kuykendall, Mrs. Penland, Mrs. Rich and Mrs. Sutton's. The girls and boys were amazed by all of the skulls, furs and teeth that Ms. Humphrey shared with them.

The third grade classes would like to thank Smithgall Woods and Ms. Humphrey for the fun morning and lesson.
