Quilt Raffle at Indian Summer Festival

The Gaddistown Homemaker's quilt for this year's Indian Summer Festival is a green, cream and red Log Cabin Starlight. The quilt committee of the Gaddistown Homemakers pieced the quilt and Minnie Watkins hand quilted it. The quilt will be displayed in the school cafeteria during the festival on Oct. 6 and 7 (Saturday and Sunday). Tickets are $1.00 each or buy six tickets for $5.00; tickets are available at the festival or from any member of the Homemakers Club. Craft items and freshly made pies will also be on sale in the cafeteria.

The money from the sale of the quilt tickets, pies and craft items will be used to purchase books for the Woody Gap School library, scholarships for graduating seniors and to help sponsor the school's science trip to Jekyll Island.
