Elizabeth Evans Fowler
Mrs. Fowler was born Monday, October 15, 1917 in LaFayette, Ind., to the late Walter Evans and the late Bertha Davidson Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Fowler. Mrs. Fowler had been living in Blairsville since 2003, moving here from Clearwater, Fla. Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Fowler and Leslie Ruffner, both of Blairsville; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Ruffner, Anne Ruffner and Dr. Paula Boyle; many other relatives and friends also survive. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Sue Upchurch, 4344 Mulkey Gap Road, Blairsville, GA 30512, or Prevent Blindness America, 211 West Wacker Dr. Suite 1700, Chicago, Illinois 60606.
