Whether it be fresh water or salt water, common or more exquisite, people all over the North Georgia Mountains love to include aquariums in their decor.
Homes, offices and restaurants have all chosen to gaze at the beauty of these colorful creatures.
A new business located at 218 South Main Street (across the highway from Subway), in Hiawassee, has everything that an old pro or a newcomer to the aquarium process could ever need. Tropical Stream Aquatics is owned by Kurt and Linda Schnepf and they are excited to bring a wide array of fresh water and marine fish, plants and supplies to the area. The demand is great, because previously, people had to drive across the mountain to get all the supplies they needed or even a certain fish.
Tropical Stream Aquatics is an amazing place to visit. You will walk in and be blown away immediately by the beautiful murials painted on all the walls by a very gifted sister to Linda. The detail is beautiful. Immediately one will notice the sound of the aquariums and be drawn in by the beauty of some very colorful fish. The supplies are bountiful.
Kurt or Linda is always there to help. If you have a question, stop by and ask or call 706-896-7805 or mail them at tropicalstreamaquatics@alltel.n et.
They will be holding a grand opening on September 21 and 22. There will be free drinks and food, a raffle for an aquarium with stand and light, free live food samples and discounts on fish and aquarium combos. So stop on by and register. There hours are Tuesday thru Friday; 12-7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m.
