95.1 FM Launch and Lunch
Despite rainfall, 95.1 WACF f.m. station, located in Young Harris, across from the BRMEMC, had a fantastic turnout. A BBQ lunch was catered by Smoke Rings in Hiawassee and the ribbon cutting was held with both Towns and Union County's Chambers of Commerce Members present. Zell and Shirley Miller were present to cut the ribbon to the area's first FM station. The station and owners AD and Clair Frazier are featured in the current issue of North Georgia Mountains magazine, explaining the station and its coming together. Sammy "Toothpick" Ensley is one of the lively DJ's for the station. Zell Miller and Clair Frazier cut the ribbon to the new station while Blairsville-Union County Chamber member Debra Edwards assists.
