Union County Lions Club has visit from District Governor

It was an honor to have District Governor Ruth Payton of District 18D as guest speaker during our regular meeting of the Lions Club. Mrs. Payton was joined by her husband, Dr. John Payton. The District Governor gave an inspirational talk to our club and updated us on what the district is doing for each of the programs that we sponsor and support. She encouraged us to continue being diligent in seeking new members and stressed the need for more frequent eye screenings in the community.

The meeting featured special appreciation to many volunteers that are not Lions but frequently helped with our projects. Without these loyal friends it would be more difficult meeting the demands of our many projects.
