Mary Denise French

Mrs. Mary Denise French, 68, of Faith Acres Rd., Blairsville, Ga., died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. French was born Oct. 1, 1938 in Manchester, Conn., the daughter of the late Clifford McNamara and the late Catherine Ennis McNamara. Mary was a member of the Union County Lions Club, a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of S.A.F.E. House of Union County. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clarence French in 2003. Mrs. French was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Surviving Mrs. French are son and daughter-in-law, Robert Clarence and Shelby French III of Dahlonega, Ga.; daughter, Nancy Doris Copeland of Blairsville; brothers and sister-in-law, Dennis and Diane McNamara of Hollywood, Fla., Robert McNamara of Texas; grandchildren, Cody, Kyle and Ashley French of Dahlonega, and Katie Copeland of Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers if you wish, Mary desired that donations may be made to the Union County Lions Club in her memory.
