Peggy Gill Alexander

Mrs. Peggy Gill Alexander, 90, of Mtn. View Drive, Blairsville, Ga., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 in the Clay County Care Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Alexander was born Nov. 23, 1916 in Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter of the late Billy Gill. She had made her home in Blairsville for the past seven years, moving here from Tampa, Fla. Before her retirement she was employed with Ferman Chevrolet for over 50 years. Peggy was a kind and loving lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Alexander is foster sister, Rev.Vikki and Tom McVay of Blairsville; five nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with interment following in the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Zion Methodist Church in Mrs. Alexander's memory.
