The Blairsville Boy Scout Troop 101 recently helped the Friends of the Library of Towns County. The Scouts loaded and unloaded dozens of boxes of books for the Friends of the Library 11th annual Book and Bake Sale. According to John Roberts, President of the Friends of the Library of Towns County, the sale raises funds to supplement the budget of the two Towns County libraries. The extra funds provide for the cost of about 80% of the libraries new books, helps fund the Summer Reading Program, and contributes to the cost of the wireless services for the libraries. The Scouts were useful in transporting the books between the libraries in preparation for the sale. In showing their appreciation to the Scouts, the Friends of the Library provided refreshments to the Scouts as they volunteered their services. Scouts assisting that evening were: Brady Kumler, Marshall Johnston, Jesse Parks, Joel Legg, Jacob Chambliss, T Bentley, Ian Servis, Andrew Servis, Brandon Tucker, Tucker Knight, Matt Scott, Kyle Wade, Alex Deyton, Wilson Warren, Hunter Wardlaw.
