7th Annual "Puttin' on the Dog" to Benefit the Humane Society
Norm Bennett and Ken Snyder of Hiawassee and Betty Foss of Blairsville have presented their plans for the 7th Annual "Puttin' on the Dog" Fall Fundraiser for the Humane Society's Mountain Shelter to an excited and grateful Board of Directors.
A well-known and popular tradition, the wine tasting, silent and live auction will once again be held at Crane Creek Vineyards in Young Harris, Ga. Eric and DeAnne Livingston Seifarth are hosting the event at their 12 acre vineyard.
The vineyard is blessed with a unique microclimate, warm days, cool nights and well drained mineral soils which allow the Seifarths to cultivate and harvest grapes that produce fresh, assertive wines. Their Mountain Harvest, Sweet Sally, Brasstown and Enotah selections will delight the taste buds of the evening's guests.
In addition to the vineyard ambience, the committee is pleased to announce that Andy Moschetto, of Moschetto's in Young Harris, will cater the event. Chef Moschetto and his staff will prepare an elegant taste extravaganza of heavy hor d'oeuvres.
"This is our seventh year and we expect another sold out crowd. Betty Foss, our Silent Auction Chairman, is busily collecting hundreds of fabulous items for the auction. She can be contacted at 706-745-6925. Ken Snyder has already done a superb job with the food and logistics. This is the most exciting event of the year for the Humane Society and we are glad to be able to work together again for their benefit," said Bennett.
The organizing trio has set the date for Saturday, September 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $30 each; sponsorships are available starting at $100 and may be purchased by contacting the Shelter at 706-781-3843. No tickets will be sold at the door.
