Labor Day BBQ

Make plans now! Invite your family and friends to join you for the 27th annual Labor Day Bar-B-Q in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Event is Faithfully held rain or shine and tents are up. Join us in the downtown railway park on Monday September 3rd from 11:30 to 6 pm. For your dining and listening pleasure, a variety of bluegrass, gospel and ole time music groups are scheduled from 11:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Groups sharing their talents this year include the Blue Ridge Dulcimers, Caylor Family, Dirt Road Band, Foothills Connections, Hogsed Brothers, Looking Up, and River Park Bluegrass Band. You are invited, so come eat with us. Bring your lawn chairs and plan to stay a while to enjoy the Labor Day festivities in Blue Ridge.

Enjoy your choice of St. Louis-style pork ribs or chicken cooked the old fashioned way over glowing wood coals on a forty foot grill. Dinner with all the fixin's is still only $8.00 this year and includes tea and home made brownies or pound cake. You can picnic under an oak tree in the railway park or find a table in the dining area. Late afternoon lines are usually shorter and you can get your ticket when you come to the park or purchase pre-sale tickets at the Fannin County Chamber of Commerce in Blue Ridge.

The Labor Day Bar-B-Q is sponsored by an association of Blue Ridge area churches. In the Spirit of interdenominational cooperation, Baptist, Charismatic, Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Methodist Churches join hands across denominational lines to support the benevolent works of the Good Samaritans of Fannin County. The Bar-B-Q is the primary fund-raiser for the Good Samaritans and additional contributions are always welcome! You are invited to enjoy the festivities and to help us to help others, in His name.
