Josephine Bowers

Mrs. Josephine Bowers, 89, of Blairsville, Ga., died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.

Mrs. Bowers was born Tuesday, May 28, 1918 in Buncombe Co., NC to the late Frank and Sally Weaver Miller. She was preceded in death by husband, Luther Bowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Hiland of Marble, N.C.; daughter, Vera Meadows of Hayesville, N.C.; granddaughter, Maresa Eggerton of Alto, Ga.; great-granddaughter, Sydney Eggerton of Alto; step-daughters, Ruby Warren of Blairsville, Margie Harkins of Blairsville, Daisy Groves of Blairsville, and Ann Totherow of Blairsville, Ga.

No services are planned. Interment will follow in the Blairsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to American Heart Association.
