Put on your shorts, meet at Sequoyah
By TAYLOR LOTT

Sequoyah has now gone casual. Come as you are and be ready for good food and great prices.

This wonderful restaurant located at The Ridges Country Club, west of Hayesville, N.C., provides a remarkable view as well as an expanded menu to its many old time favorites.

While the quality of both food and service still remains, there have been some recent changes.

If you have shied away expecting high prices or felt that you had to be dressed in your Sunday best to dine, then you owe it to yourself to give it another try.

I had the pleasure of eating there last week and loved it. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Nobody was dressed up. Most folks were wearing shorts or other casual clothing. The menu prices have changed too and are very affordable.

The dining room has been scaled back to make you feel cosy and more comfortable. The servers have traded in their ties for a nice white shirt with an open collar.

Sequoyah is currently running many specials, which you can find in their newspaper ads.

Come in as you are and have a glass of wine or dine. I promise you won't be disappointed.

The friendly staff does its level best to make you feel right at home.
