Bernice Parham Gibby

Mrs. Bernice Parham Gibby, 83, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Blairsville and Athens, Ga., died Sunday, August 12, 2007.

Mrs. Gibby was born Saturday, March 15, 1924 in Union County, Ga., to the late Hershel and Etta Mae Styles Parham. Mrs. Gibby had been a resident of Athens for 48 years where she worked for General Time/Westclox for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Blairsville. Mrs. Gibby Moved to Brentwood, Tennessee, in 2003., She was preceded in death by parents, Hershel and Etta Styles Parham; son, Robert A. "Bobby" Gibby; brother, Harold Parham and sister, Hazel Doolittle.

Survivors include daughter, Linda Ristuccia of Jackson; sister, Evelyn Deyton, and brother, Herbert Parham, both of Blairsville; brother, George B.

Parham of Athens; grandchildren,

Jason Olliff of

Athens; Jennifer and

Amanda Olliff, both of

Brooklyn, New York; many other relatives and

friends also survive.

Graveside services

were held Wednesday,

August 15, 2007 at 10

a.m. from the Pleasant

Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville with Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Special Music will be provided by Ken and Elaine Young. Pallbearers were Ryan Deyton, Don Deyton, Steve Carver, Kenny Dyer, Bill Cantrell and Jason Olliff.
