Ridges Junior Golf to kick off 2007 annual fall tour

The Tri-County Junior Golf Association is kicking off the 2007 Ridges Junior Golf Tour. The deadline for last year's participants to renew their spot to play in 2007 is Tuesday, August 14th and starting Wednesday, August 15th, the committee will be taking names from the general public for any empty slots.

Participation is limited to a field of 92 players, ages 8 to 18 years old (senior in high school). If you have a junior who wants to play golf please contact Steve Gonyea @ 706-379-1532 or Cathy Lewis @ 828-389-1867.

The season will kick off with a mandatory rules seminar on Thursday, August 23, 2007. The seminar will be held at The Ridges Country Club at 4:30 p.m.

In the event of rain that day we will meet on Sunday, August 26, 2007, at 4:30 p.m. On August 30, 2007, 4:30 p.m., our first round of golf for this event will be played at The Ridges Country Club.

Five more tournaments will follow each Thursday afternoon at different golf clubs in the area. All tournaments start promptly at 4:30 pm.
