Roadway Sign Company supports Cancer Walk Team

The fight against cancer is an ongoing battle that must be continuously fought on every front. One such 'battlefield' is the 'Breast Cancer 3-Day', an event that is held in many major cities throughout the year. United Community Bank's Shannon Foster, Sharon Arnold and Elisa Shook have signed up to walk 60 miles in three days during the 3-Day Cancer event in Atlanta, Ga., October 12 - 14. These dedicated team members have pledged to raise $3,500 each!

Melissa Hays with the Roadway Sign Company in Blairsville has graciously donated a banner to the United Community Bank team for display on their tent during the walk.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile, three-day walk that benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust

NPT) Breast Cancer Fund. More than 200,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone, and more than 40,000 will not survive. Arnold, Foster and Shook have chosen to join this walk in memory of or in honor of specific people afflicted with this disease.

If you are interested in making a donation to the Breast Cancer 3-Day, please contact Elisa Shook at United Community Bank.
