Girl Scout Gymboree

Union County Girl Scouts and the Mountain Gymnastics Center are co-sponsoring a Girl Scout Gymboree on Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until twelve noon. All girls ages 5- 17 are invited. Mountain Gymnastics Center staff will direct and supervise activities on the gymnastic equipment. A parent or guardian must accompany each girl in order to give permission for the girl to participate. This is a recruitment event for girls who are interested in finding out about how to join Girl Scouts, and a back-to-school fun event for girls who are already Scouts. Refreshments will be provided. The Mountain Gymnastics Center is located west of Blairsville off of Hwy. 515 at 899 Airport Industrial Drive. Girls may dress in leotards if they have them, or comfortable shorts with elastic waists and t-shirt tops.

Adult volunteers will be explaining the Girl Scout program and how to enroll their girls to parents while the girls enjoy the activities and refreshments. Girl Scouts of the USA is a national volunteer based organization. Placing new girls in troops may be dependent upon recruiting adult volunteer leaders.
