Competition dance group wins first place

The competitive hip hop group at Blairsville School of Dance took first place at the Xtreme Dance competition in Gatlinburg, T.N.

The team competed in the Small Group category. As a result of their win in regional competition, they were invited to compete in the national competition in Charlotte, N.C.

The group is preparing to kick off the 2007-08 competition season with practices beginning on August 20. Auditions to join the competition Hip Hop group for the new 2007-2008 season will be held on Saturday, August 11.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., and those auditioning will begin learning choreography at 11:00 a.m. Candidates will then perform in groups of 3-4. All those auditioning should be between the ages of 12-17.
