Hiawassee Square Concert

So popular...we've brought them back for yet another wonderful performance! Ducktown Station, an energetic and engaging group from Tennessee, will light up the Hiawassee Square this Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. This multi-generational band plays a refreshing blend of traditional Bluegrass music, mixed with current "Newgrass" favorites! Band leader, Lisa Jacobi keeps the show flowing with her humorous "banter" and terrific fiddle playing. The five piece band also includes teen musical phenoms, Jarrod Payne and Casey Dillard, on banjo and guitar, North Carolina's Jim Lancaster on bass, and Atlanta native Pete Dasher on dobro.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket, your pet (on a leash, please, and with clean-up materials!) and the rest of your family. Enchanted Music on the Square is produced by the OTM Committee, Inc., a non-profit group dedicated to providing music, entertainment and events in Towns County. T-shirts will be for sale, along with ice cream, hot dogs and beverages. Call 706-896-4988 after 4 p.m. to see if weather has canceled the performance.
