Amicalola Falls State Park Volunteer Day

Amicalola Falls in Dawson County, Ga., will hold "Volunteer Day", hoping corporations, civic groups, scout groups, friends and individuals will donate a few hours of their time to spruce up the park. Trash pick-up, creek clean up, trail maintenance, and general repairs are a few of the chores that will be assigned to those wanting to help. Volunteers will not be charged the regular $3.00 park pass fee, but should report to the Visitor Center for assignment. Participants need no skills… just a desire to help. Rain or shine, Saturday, August 11 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. has been set aside, so mark your calendars and come prepared!
