Enchanted Music on the Square

If you have ever watched the Bluebird Cafe on TV, where songwriters play their own songs for the crowd, you have a hint about our August 11 Concert on the Square in Hiawassee, from 6-8 p.m. Songwriters, Liz Getz, Don Byers, and Wayne Landress, accompanied by Rachel Caviness, will not only play some of their own songs, but will feature songs by writers they have admired over the years.

Liz Getz recorded for Folkways Records in the midsixties and Don Byers recorded and toured the U.S. and Europe. Wayne Landress is well known for his songs and his harmonica playing. You'll hear some of your favorites like "Hoochie Coochie Woman", "Little Cabin in the Mountains" and "Gypsy Earrings". Plus songs by Joni Mitchell, Roy Orbison, Mickey Newberry, Johnny Cash, and others. So plan to attend this wonderful, full-ofgood humor performance! Bring your lawn chair or blanket, your family and friends and your family pet (on a leash, please and with clean-up equipment!) Each Saturday evening offers fun, food and entertainment for everyone!
