To the Editor:

The canners of Union County would like to thank Fannin County for furnishing us a place to can our food and for paying someone to operate the cannery. We are very grateful to you.

After 30 years of canning my food for the winter, it is so sad it had to end. Since the school board said the cannery was not important. Tell this to the 75 to 100 people who used the cannery.
