Executive Director needed for UCDA

The Union County Development Authority is seeking a professional to lead the county's efforts to recruit new industries, promote existing industry development and retention, guide large retail development and entrepreneurship, and better prepare the community for economic development success.

Union County is a thriving rural community located on the southern border of the Appalachian mountain chain with growing industrial and business sectors, a progressive local government, and a quality of life that you have to see to believe.

The Development Authority exists to improve the quality of life for all citizens of Union County through the promotion of trade, commerce, industry and employment. This position reports directly to a board of directors and is created to increase economic opportunities through activities that improve the business climate.

Salary range is $45,000 - $75,000 per year with a competitive benefits package. Compensation will be negotiated based upon experience.

The principal duties of this position are performed in a general office environment. A background investigation, including supervised drug screening, will be required.
