August NARFE meeting

The Brasstown Bald chapter of the National Active Retired Federal Employees will meet at Grinds and Glazes Restaurant in Blairsville on Tuesday August 14th at 11:45. All current or retired federal employees, their spouses or survivors, are urged to come and learn the status of proposed legislation designed to protect the earned benefits of federal retirees.

Congress is in summer recess from now until September 4th. This is an ideal time to contact our Senators and Representative at their respective local offices on behalf of NARFE's legislative priorities. If they have not as yet cosponsored our Premium Conversion and Social Security Offset bills, explain the urgent need for them to do so. If they have cosponsored this vital legislation, as most of them have, thank them. Ask them to use their influence to get these bills out of committee and on to the floor for an up or down vote.
