Honea to be featured speaker at Writers Group

Robert K. Honea of Blairsville, author of three books: Long Road Winding; Shamrock; and Willie Jack Stem and Calvin, will be the featured speaker at the Georgia Mountain Writers Club on Wednesday, August 8, at 10 a.m. He will be speaking on the subject "Setting Place."

Mr. Honea is an ex-Marine and retired Police Lieutenant whose writings feature history of the South from the early to mid- 1800's. Following retirement, he founded Applied Design, Inc., a building and design firm that he continues to head to the present.

Everyone is invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the modular building behind St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Young Harris Highway, Blairsville.
