Dan Norton brings wealth of experience to playhouse In the late 1940s Dan Norton was the Executive Producer, Director and an actor of the renowned Woodstock Players (in Woodstock, Illinois) that established the professional careers of Geraldine Page, Betsy Palmer, Paul Newman, Tom Bosley and Shelly Berman. He later enjoyed a career with the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) and was instrumental in launching several owned & operated ABC television stations across the country during the infancy of the television industry. Dan went on to play a major role in the "brick & mortar" phase of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and was an instrumental influence in the American College Theatre Festival series. He then spent 20 years with Creative Loafing in Atlanta and was the alterna- tive newspaper's first president. |
