Labor Day weekend concert at Vogel State Park CAT'S CRADLE....A Harmonious Tangle of Strings & Things Band will be performing Labor Day Weekend at the following venues: 8 PM Saturday night, Sept. 1 on the Vogel St. Park lake pavilion near Blairsville and Sunday night, Sept. 2, 8 PM at the Enota Mt. Retreat & Campground Nutshell Pavilion just south of Hiawasse and across the mountain from Vogel. The CATS consist of 5 Cobb County musicians, Don McCook, Deb Gerace, Philippa Anderson, Robin Daniel & Marka Ormsby who play tunes ranging from rock oldies and gospel to country western and Celtic. The quirky instrumentation consists of guitars, bass, auto harp, hammerchord (must be seen to be believed), tin whistles, tambourines, recorder and bagpipes (also must be seen to be believed, at least in this capacity!). Labor Day weekend is their debut at Vogel and their third appearance at Enota. If you enjoy kick-back, outside-the-box entertainment that includes some singalong, lots of clapping and stomping and good all around fun, check out the CATS at Vogel on Saturday and Enota on Sunday. No admission is charged, although donations are appreciated. BYOS* *Bring Your Own Spoons (or tambourines, or whatever and join in the fun!)
