Union County Historical Society Picnic

The Union County Historical Society summer picnic will be held Tuesday, July 31st, at Lake Winfield Scott. Take Hwy. 180 West to Suches. Cross the bridge (the lake will be on the left) and continue on Hwy. 180 past the former entrance. The well-marked, main entrance is approximately 1/2 mile past the old entrance. Follow the main road around to the larger parking area near the picnic area. We will mark the area with a sign or balloon.

We will meet at the large pavilion at 6:00 p.m. and eat shortly thereafter. Bud Braddock and Clyde Harkins will lead a discussion on the history of the area. The society will furnish eating utensils and beverages. Please bring a dish or two to share. Everyone is welcome!
