RAINER'S RAMBLINGS
Company is coming
By RAINER ARNOLD Union Sentinel Publisher

Right now I am very fortunate. I have company at the house. Ina day or so I will have more. Right a friend from Germany is visiting for a week. Also, my son is coming from Scotland with his wife and 4 kids. Yes, I will have a full house, but it will be enjoyable.

Many times people feel like company is a bad thing since you can't do the things you want to do. I disagree. You can actually to the things you normally put off.

Take for example Dennis, my friend from Germany. He went to play soccer with me on Tuesday. On Thursday he is going to Tri-County race track. He has never seen a dirt track race. And, I have been wanting to got here for a long time and always make excuses for not going. So, now the company I have gives me an excuse to go. That is great.

He also want s to play some horseshoes. After all, they do not do that in Germany so he will enjoy that as well as myself. I would normally not go to the Fair in Hiawassee. But with the company here and especially the 4 grandkids, well, you know I will go.

Granted, it might cost me a little bit, but every one out there that is a grandparent knows it is worth it. We all know grandkids are worth every dime we spend on them.

The grandkids from Scotland and Atlanta playing in the hottub at their last meeting.
We will cook out more and play outside and watch less TV. All those things are a plus. We will talk and get to each other a little better and we will give the grandkids something to take back to Scotland to tell their friends about America that is positive.

So, if you think about it, you can make company an opportunity for extreme enjoyment or a form of a hassle. The choice is up to you. I choose to allow them to be enjoyment in my life.
