Back to School help for our foster children Volunteers are sponsoring a "Back to School" project again this year to give every foster child an opportunity to purchase the very needed school supplies, new school clothes and book bags for this coming school year. We would like to help our foster children prepare for the new school year and feel proud and excited about going back to school. Our volunteers in this area have created the Towns and Union Foster Children's Enrichment Program, Inc., which is a non profit charity that has sponsored both the Back to School and the Foster Children's Christmas Fund for over six years. All money collected goes totally to the benefit of the foster children. The Back to School project will assist our very dedicated foster families in the efforts to get their foster children ready for the first day of a new school year. We will be purchasing an individual "gift certificate" from area merchants for each foster child in Towns and Union Counties before school begins again this year, which will allow every child to "select" their own clothing, shoes and school supplies. If you would like to make a donation, of any amount, please make your check out to: Towns and Union Foster Children's Enrichment Program, Inc. Mail to: Foster Children's Enrichment Program, Inc., c/o Pat Elliott, 2514 Buck Run, Hiawassee, GA 30546 Or you may make a deposit directly to the fund at Bank of Blairsville or Bank of Hiawassee. If you have any questions, please contact one of the following volunteers: Pat Elliott at 706-896-3749; Sherry Wendt at 706-745-1728; Richard Paolillo at 706-745-1190. The Children of Towns and Union Counties Thank You! |
