Charles H. Rogers
Mr. Rogers was born Monday, November 4, 1928 in Union County, Ga., to the late Frank Randall Rogers and the late Lois Roberta Seabolt Rogers. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Union County and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Mr. Rogers had been local merchant for many years. Survivors include his loving wife, Oma Louise Smith Rogers of Blairsville; daughters and son-inlaw, Patricia and Jerry Cook of Blairsville, Nancy and Tim Dyer of Blairsville; brother, Ray Rogers of Blairsville; sister, Louise Rogers Lance of Morganton, Ga.; brothers, Don Rogers of Blairsville, Tommy Rogers of Blairsville, Clark Rogers of Cleveland, Ohio, Bobby Rogers of Blairsville; granddaughters, Robin Cook and Misty Cook and Emily Dyer; and grandson, Jeffrey Cook; many friends and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Union County with Rev. Ben Lewis officiating. Interment followed in Union Memory Gardens with Military Honors being presented by North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Terry Rogers, Robby Rogers, Robert Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Gary Lance and Larry Lance. Arrangements entrusted to the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia.
