Laverne Murray Payne

Mrs. Laverne Murray Payne, 73, of Blairsville, Ga., died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at her home.

Mrs. Payne was born Wednesday, November 29, 1933 in Appling County, Ga., to the late Otis Murray and the late Adel Campbell Murray. A member of New Union Baptist Church, she lived most of her life in Blairsville. Mrs. Payne was preceeded in death by sisters, Aline Brackett and Debra Murray and brothers, Cecil Murray and Harold Murray.

Survivors include her loving husband, Herol Payne of Blairsville; sons, Michael Herol Payne and Marty Payne, both of Blairsville; brothers, Curtis, George, Roy, Troy, David, J.W. and Freddie Murray; grandchildren, Scott, Lena, Grayson, Irenee and Noah Payne; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, 2007 at 1 p.m.
