We will launch at 10:00 a.m. from the Great Smoky Mountain Fish Camp on Bennet Rd. in Franklin, N.C., spend about 4 hours canoeing the Little Tennessee with a designated lunch break in between- bring your own lunch and drinking water. You won't want to miss this opportunity for an interesting and relaxing day of family fun! This trip is free, but limited to 12 canoes. Canoes can be rented from the Fish Camp at a cost of $45 each for those who do not have their own canoe. The mission of the Little Tennessee Watershed Association is to protect and restore the water quality and habitat of the Little Tennessee River and its tributaries upstream of the Fontana Reservoir.
